Direct-to-card printers transfer the image straight onto the card surface. Retransfer printers print onto a film first, then fuse it to the card, giving edge-to-edge coverage and a smoother finish, particularly on cards with embedded chips. Retransfer models cost more but suit higher-security, higher-volume programs.

The PPC ID1000 is our entry-level model, built for organisations issuing cards for the first time or in low volumes. For steadier ongoing issuance, the ID3000 is a common next step.
